Two different types of yoga techniques that focus on body, mind and freedom of movement

Yoga & Somatics

No two people are the same so it’s fundamental to assess the underlying energetic, energetic blockage usually caused by different traumatic experiences. Fundamentally our minds and bodies are closely linked and that our brain and bodies store all our past experiences via the “vagus nerve” whether, they be physical or emotional.

How do your body react to stress?
Headaches, stomach upset, neck and back problems, lump in the throat, muscle spasms, general lethargy and the unable to cope mechanism arises. It is useful therefore to outline a stressful part of your life that is based on pure emotion and then assess how it has manifested itself through your body physically.

Psychosmatic conditions – mind/body link
Relating to the interaction of the mind and body. Caused or aggravated by a mental factor such as internal conflict or stress.

Somatics is a form of bodywork that takes a more scientific approach to the connection between the mind and body and examines the body’s structure at a deeper level.

The principles are based on the fact that negative thought processes create stress on the internal muscles and organs via the brain body link (psychosomatic). If the stress is not released muscles will continue to contract causing poor posture, muscle fatigue, pain and lack of range of movement.

Teen Yoga

Yoga for young people is unique genre just as teenagers and young adults are but, most importantly it’s fun.

It’s primarily based on psychology and carefully woven together with physical exercise that enables young adults to be able to express themselves in a safe environment without judgement. My aim once again is to educate these young people into feeling internally safe and positive.

Specific yogic movements & breathing techniques have been proven to increase bodily awareness, reduce stress, aid sleep and increase mental clarity in Young Adults.

Sessions are available either remotely on internet, within your home or held in my studios in Morzine in the French Alps.
